Our story
Lead dentist Dr. John Cohen, DDS opened Lennox Family Dental in 1993 with a simple idea: bring high-quality dentistry to a working-class neighborhood that deserved it. Three decades of experience across multiple California practices come into the chair with every patient.
Dr. Cohen trained in an era before sub-specialty silos — when general dentists were expected to handle everything, from full-mouth restorative cases and surgical implant placement to the most complex reconstructive scenarios. That depth is why patients who walk in for a cleaning leave knowing the same dentist can also handle the harder work, no referral merry-go-round.
Inglewood has always been a tight-knit community. Families that grow up here tend to stay, raise their kids here, and visit the same handful of trusted businesses for decades. We've been lucky enough to be one of them. Today, the patients who first came in as kids in 1995 are now bringing their own children — and that's the highest compliment a family practice can receive.
What's changed: the technology, the materials, the techniques. What hasn't: the philosophy. Treat people the way you'd want your own family to be treated. Explain procedures honestly. Quote fair prices. Don't recommend work that isn't needed. Make the chair feel less like a chair.
